Triumph Weekends Across the World

Triumph Weekends Across the World

This weekend saw Triumph days in many showrooms across the country, as well as in America. Bikers were given the chance to take bikes for long test-rides and try out new and old models to get a feel for the established make.

Triumph is actually the oldest motorcycle in production, having first been built in 1903 - which is one year before Harley-Davidson. They have been doing extremely well in the marketplace, with roughly a 40% growth last year, and plans to develop two new motorcycles a year over the next five years.

This means great news for Triumph fans and makes the way for many successful and entertaining Triumph Weekends to come!

Check out the new and used Triumph bikes we have for offer at GT, and be sure to drop into our showroom for a closer look, or contact us for more information.

Cruising Rider magazine awards the Rocket III 2005 Bike of the Year!

Cruising Rider magazine awards the Rocket III 2005 Bike of the Year!

Be sure to check out the May 2005 issue where Eric Bass fills three pages (p 52-54) on the awesome Rocket III. The article begins with a humorous contemplation on the inspiration for the Rocket III and turns serious with the discussion of the Rocket III's performance statistics. The folks at Cruising Rider love the fact that not only does the Rocket III offer quick acceleration, but the power the engine produces is very practical and makes for an exciting cruiser!

The Triumph Sprint ST

The Triumph Sprint ST

Triumph Sprint ST

Life is full of compromises, as are many motorcycles. The Sprint ST, thankfully, doesn't have to make any. It's a sports bike that covers miles, a touring bike that carves corners with a truly usable mix of poise, power and all-round practicality.
And the Sprint ST has evolved even further. Its new 1050cc, fuel-injected, triple-cylinder motor has more of everything that makes it so usable - more torque, for effortless drive in any gear and more horsepower for when it's needed. Further refining the engine is a revised gearbox and clutch while the lusty nature of the three-cylinder layout, with its creamy delivery, remains unfettered.
Matching the Sprint ST's engine is a new chassis with redesigned beam frame, cartridge-style telescopic forks and five-spoke wheels. Its sleek look is simply stunning and everywhere little touches, like the chrome infill bars and front indicators set in the mirrors, add class. Styling cues, such as the triple front headlights and triple exit exhausts, complement each other fluidly.
The Sprint ST is a well-rounded platform for travel, adventure and excitment. Its success lies in its polish, the way it works as a complete machine, as a whole.
Nope, compromise does not exist for the Sprint ST. It does it all in style, quite naturally.

The above description was taken from the Triumph Official Website.

What Triumph Have to Say on Their 2005 Sprint ST...

What Triumph Have to Say on Their 2005 Sprint ST...

Here's a little of what Triumph have to say about the new 2005 SPRINT ST.

"The Sprint ST possesses a truly usable mix of poise, power and all-round practicality.
For 2005 the Sprint ST has been redesigned from the wheels up. Its 1050cc, fuel-injected, three-cylinder motor has more of everything that makes it so usable. More torque, for effortless drive in any gear and more horsepower for when it's needed.

Further enhancing the engine is a revised six-speed gearbox and clutch fitted with an anti-backlash gear. The Sprint ST has an engine to revel in, to explore and most of all, to use to the full.
Styling cues, such as the triple front headlights, triple exit exhausts and LED rear lights complement each other fluidly and the Sprint ST has a cohesive air of a machine that mixes function and form perfectly.
New instrumentation includes an LCD trip computer with average MPG and speed functions, amongst others. Fuel capacity is a useful 21 litres.

Further expanding the Sprint ST's role is the colour-matched factory designed hard luggage (available as an optional extra), which has been specifically designed for the ST. A host of other accessory items are also available."
